Police track down Cambridge man wanted for breaking into trailer

Members of the Waterloo Regional Police Service's General Investigations Unit have arrested a male in connection to a theft incident that occurred in Cambridge. 

On March 11, 2023, at approximately 1 p.m., police received a report of a theft incident that occurred at a business in the area of Franklin Boulevard and Turnbull Court. The theft was believed to have happened in the early morning. 

Through investigation, police learned that the suspect broke into an enclosed trailer and stole tools and property. 

As a result of the investigation, the suspect was identified and arrested on March 20, 2023. 

A 49-year-old Cambridge male has been charged with several criminal offences, including: 

  • Theft over $5,000
  • Mischief under $5,000
  • Possession of break-and-enter tools 

The accused was held in police custody for a bail hearing.
