Repairs to hydro pole on Speedsville Road continue after morning collision

Waterloo regional police issued a press release at 3 p.m. Friday saying Speedsville Road between Highway 401 and Royal Oak Road will remain closed for "several hours" as repairs are made to a hydro pole that was hit by a driver who lost control of his vehicle Friday morning.

The accident happened around 10:45 a.m. 

The driver, a 74-year-old male from Cambridge, was transported to a local hospital by Region of Waterloo Paramedic Services with non-life-threatening injuries.

The investigation is ongoing by WRPS’ Traffic Services Unit.
