Suspect sought in relation to vehicle theft in Cambridge

The suspect also used the victim's bank cards to make several purchases in Aberfoyle and Guelph, police say; the vehicle was later found abandoned in Guelph

Waterloo Regional Police are seeking the public's assistance in identifying a male related to a stolen motor vehicle incident in Cambridge. 

On Nov. 21, 2022, around 5 p.m., police received a report of a stolen motor vehicle on Chalmers Street South. 

The victim's vehicle was left running in the driveway when it was stolen. 

The victim's cell phone and wallet were also left in the vehicle. 

Shortly after the theft, the suspect used the victim's bank cards to make several fraudulent purchases throughout Aberfoyle and Guelph. 

On Nov. 22, 2022, the stolen vehicle was recovered by police abandoned in Guelph.

Police are seeking the public's assistance in identifying the individual in the photos.
