Emergency services responded to an early morning fire in Cambridge.

On Feb. 9, 2024, at approximately 2:45 a.m., emergency services responded to reports of a fire at a residential building fire in the area of King Street East and Dolph Street. 

The fire was contained to a single unit and was extinguished by the Cambridge Fire Department.

Two residents were transported to a local hospital by Region of Waterloo Paramedic Services for treatment of minor physical injuries.

The cause of the fire is unknown and remains under investigation.

Area roadways were closed for the emergency response and have since re-opened.
