Two youth arrested after police respond to robbery-with-weapon call

Suspects attempted to take personal property from victims, police said

On Dec. 8, at approximately 9 p.m., police received a report of a person-on-person robbery involving a weapon in the area of King Street East and Westminster Drive South.

The victims were approached while walking on King Street East by two unknown males who attempted to take personal property from the victims, a news release said. The victims were able to run to a safe place, and the unknown suspects fled on foot. There were no physical injuries.

Police subsequently identified, located, and arrested two youth in connection to this incident.

As a result of the investigation, two male youth from Cambridge have been charged with robbery with a firearm. One is facing an additional charge of assault.
