Victim flees attempted gun-point robbery in Cambridge

On Nov. 26, 2022, at approximately 9:35 p.m., a person-on-person robbery took place in the area of Southwood Drive and Wedgewood Drive in Cambridge.

The victim was walking in the area when they were approached by a vehicle occupied with four unknown suspects.

One of the suspects pointed a firearm at the victim and demanded their personal property. The victim fled the area on foot and no personal property was taken.

The suspect vehicle was described as an early 2000s Toyota van with a loud engine. The van is believed to be dark blue or black in colour.

There were no physical injuries reported as a result of this incident.

The investigation is ongoing by WRPS’ General Investigations Unit.
