Victim told police they were robbed at gunpoint while on trail

Waterloo Regional Police are investigating a person-on-person robbery in Cambridge that happened Monday around 7:30 p.m.

Police responded to the area of Elgin Street South and Champlain Boulevard for a report of a robbery.

The victim told police they were robbed at gunpoint by an unknown male while walking on the Moffat Creek Trail. The victim's personal property was taken and no physical injuries were reported.

The investigation is ongoing by WRPS’ general investigations unit.
