Wanted Cambridge woman, 31, busted at traffic stop, drugs seized

Officers from WRPS’ Direct Action Response Team (DART) seized drugs and arrested a wanted female in Kitchener.

On Feb. 9, 2024, at approximately 10:50 p.m., DART officers observed a wanted female enter a vehicle in the area of Block Line Road and Fallowfield Drive. The officers conducted a traffic stop and placed the female under arrest.

As a result of the investigation, officers located and seized suspected hydromorphone, morphine, cocaine, methamphetamine, and fentanyl.

The female, a 31-year-old from Cambridge, was charged with several offences, including:

  • Fail to comply with a release order (five counts)
  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking (four counts)
  • Possession of counterfeit money
  • Possession of a Schedule 1 substance (fentanyl)

The accused was held in police custody for a bail hearing.

Police also arrested the driver of the vehicle, a 38-year-old Cambridge male, for breaching a conditional sentence order. The male was returned to custody.
