Woman arrested for allegedly threatening people with knives

Police arrested a Cambridge woman and charged her with seven offences

A 37-year-old Cambridge woman is facing multiple charges, including assault with a weapon, after police allege she was threatening people with knives in an Elgin Street North neighbourhood.

Police responded to the area Elgin Street North and Bushnell Drive around 7:45 p.m. Monday for reports of a female threatening individuals with two knives.

Police arrived and arrested the female suspect.

There were no physical injuries reported as a result of the incident.

As a result of the investigation, police have charged a 37-year-old Cambridge female with the following:

  • Weapons dangerous
  • Utter threats to cause death
  • Assault with a weapon
  • Assault (two counts)
  • Mischief under $5,000
  • Assault peace officer

The accused was held in police custody for a bail hearing.
