Cambridge driver accused of impaired in two separate incidents

On March 11, 2021, at approximately 11:45 a.m., police received a report of a possible impaired driver in the area of Franklin Boulevard and Avenue Road Cambridge.

The driver drove straight over a roundabout and nearly struck several other vehicles on the roadway before pulling into a driveway. Officers arrived on scene and arrested the driver for impaired driving.

As a result of the investigation, a 34-year-old Cambridge male was charged with impaired driving and dangerous operation.

On March 13, 2022, at approximately 8:25 a.m., police received a report of a collision in the area of George Street North and Blair Road in North Dumfries Township.

The driver lost control of their vehicle, left the roadway and struck a hydro pole. The driver was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

George Street North was closed for several hours while hydro crews repaired the pole.

As a result of the investigation, the same 34-year-old Cambridge male was charged with impaired driving, dangerous operation, motor vehicle theft and driver while under suspension.
