Cambridge man arrested after slashing tires, smashing window of vehicle

Police say the man charged and owner of the vehicle were known to each other

A Cambridge male faces charges after a vehicle was damaged in a Guelph parking lot last weekend.

Approximately 12:05 a.m. Sunday, a male used an unknown object to deflate four tires on an SUV parked in a lot on Watson Road North. A rock was also used to smash a window. The total damage is estimated at $1,700.

The damage was captured on surveillance video. The subject and vehicle owner are known to each other. A 31-year-old Cambridge male turned himself in to Guelph Police on Tuesday and was charged with mischief under $5,000. He will appear in a Guelph court January 4, 2022.
