Police investigating fatal crash in Puslinch

The driver of one vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene while the other driver was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries

Today at approximately 4:15 p.m. the Ontario Provincial Police, Wellington County Detachment, responded along with Puslinch Fire and Guelph-Wellington Paramedic Services to a serious motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Watson Road and Maltby Road in the Township of Puslinch.

Preliminary investigation revealed that a southbound motor vehicle collided with an eastbound motor vehicle at that location. The driver of the eastbound motor vehicle was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the southbound motor vehicle was transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The Wellington County OPP and West Region OPP Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement Team (TIME) are on scene and are investigating the collision.

Watson Road is closed between Wellington Road 34 and Hume Road. Maltby Road is closed between Victoria Road and the Eleventh Concession while police investigate.
