Regional police caught and arrested two people in a stolen U-Haul vehicle in Kitchener.
Police found the stolen trailer on Tuesday in the Highland Road West and Fischer-Hallman Road area.
Officers saw a man and a woman go into the U-Haul, then arrested them.
A 25-year-old Cambridge woman and a 33-year-old Waterloo man were both charged with:
- Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
- Possession of suspected methamphetamine
- Possession of stolen property over $5,000
- Two counts of possession of stolen property under $5,000
The man is also facing additional charges:
- Possession of a weapon contrary to prohibition order
- Fail to comply with probation
- Seven counts off failure to comply with release order
- Possession of stolen property under $5,000
An air soft gun with pellets, a slingshot, pepper spray, suspected methamphetamine, and stolen property were seized.
Police held the man for a bail hearing.
