Friday, June 9

To Build What We Become When We Dream

Queen’s Square Idea Exchange - 1 North Square, all day

This art exhibition, curated by Sarah-Tai Black and featuring Katrina Coombs, Nnenna Okore and Chason Yeboah, brings together Black artists and celebrates their work. Runs all weekend.

The Mom Project

Preston Idea Exchange - 435 King St. E, All day

Come view a collection of small oil on board portraits by Mark Crofton Bell. Paintings of his mother during the final years of her life shine a light on the process of aging, physical and mental deterioration, and death. Runs all weekend.

Old Post Office Book Club

Old Post Office Idea Exchange - 12 Water St S, 10 a.m. - 12 p.m.

This group meets monthly to discuss a set title. June’s book is Bad Blood: Secrets and Lies in Silicon Valley by John Carryrou.

$10 Fill a Bag Clothing Sale

1332 Hamilton St, 2 p.m. - 7 p.m.

Just like it sounds, fill a bag with clothing for $10. Children’s clothing is free. Grocery sized bags are provided. Proceeds support the building of the Freedom Centre in Preston.

Idea Exchange at the Hespeler Village Market

Hespeler Village, 3 p.m. - 5 p.m.

Play outside, do some crafts and learn more about the Idea Exchange’s services.

Beers & Bands in the Gaslight District

64 Grand Ave S, 5 p.m. - 8 p.m.

Kickoff the weekend with happy hour and live music.

Sushi Making Class

Wave Maker Brewery - 639 Laurel St, 6:30 p.m. - 8 p.m.

Learn how to make California rolls, spicy salmon roll and tuna hand roll. All ingredients will be provided.

Pride Nerf Night

Clemens Mills Idea Exchange - 50 Saginaw Pkwy, 6 p.m. - 8 p.m.

Grab your nerf blaster and head out for night of games and camaraderie. Participants are encouraged to dress in Pride colours. Unmodified blasters only. A select few will be available for use.

4 All Fridayz - Pride Anthems

Main St, 6 p.m. - 11 p.m.

The BIA will be hosting Pride Anthems featuring music mixed by DJ David ML.

Roller Skating at Galt Arena Gardens

Galt Arena Gardens - 98 Shade St, 7 p.m.

Strap on the skates with Retro Rollers for a night of nostalgia.

Beautiful: The Carole King Musical

Hamilton Family Theatre - 46 Grand Ave S, 7:30 p.m.

Take in the story of Carole King’s rise from teenage songwriter to the Rock & Roll Hall of Famer. Shows run throughout the weekend. Tickets can be purchased here.

Karaoke Fridays at Gator's Tail

Head out to the local Sports Shack and Grill to show off your singing skills.

Saturday, June 10

Cambridge Farmers' Market

40 Dickson St, 7:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.

A central community food hub, the market features 26 year round vendors and 30 seasonal vendors. Kids Mother's Day crafts and a free treat for mom’s will be available.

Teddy Bear Picnic

Victoria Park, 66 Fisher Mills Rd - 11 a.m. - 1 p.m.

Families will be gathering in the park for a fun picnic. Children are encouraged to bring their teddy bear and even dress up like them. Games and treats will be part of the event. Bring lunch and a blanket.

Grand River Pride street party

Main St, 12:30 p.m. - 10 p.m.

The Main Street closure will feature a Pride celebration with vendors, music and more.

Line Dancing on Queen Street

Hespeler, 5 p.m. - 7 p.m.

Line dancing will be part of the #WalkQueen closure on Saturday.

Purple Moon Gala

4 Veterans Way, 7 p.m. - 1 a.m.

Celebrate Pride month with a gala in support of The AIDS Committee Of Cambridge, Kitchener, Waterloo & Area.

Cambridge Highlanders Jr. B lacrosse

Galt Arena Gardens - 98 Shade St, 7 p.m.

The Cambridge Highlanders take on the Windsor Clippers.

Wannabe : Spice Night

The local brewery presents Wannabe : A Spice Girls Tribute

Pride Brunch at the Cambridge Hotel

Watch performances by MissConduct, Darcy Kace,Elixxirr, Kamilla Flores and Call Me Mother's and Calypso Cosmic while having brunch. Purchase tickets at eventbrite.

Cambridge Highlanders Jr. B lacrosse
