There are plenty of activities and events around the city this weekend for residents to take part in.
Friday Sept. 16
2nd Annual Freedom Shoppers Event
Riverside Park - 49 King St W Cambridge, 3 p.m. - 7 p.m., 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m.
Residents are invited to Riverside Park where over 60 vendors, activities, beer, a kids corner and more will be available to enjoy. The cost to attend is $5 for a three day pass.
#WalkQueen in Hespeler Village
15 Queen St. E., 3 p.m. - 11 p.m.
Join a celebration of Hespeler's unique village district. Musical performances, food and games are all part of the experience. The event continues Saturday and Sunday in downtown Hespeler.
Saturday Sept. 17
Cambridge Farmers' Market
40 Dickson St., 7 a.m. - 1 p.m.
A central community food hub, the market features 26 year round vendors and 30 seasonal vendors.
Supplies can be picked up at any Idea Exchange location in the city, 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Cambridge City Green will lead a clean up effort around the city.
Cambridge Sculpture Garden
47 Grand Ave. S., Galt City Centre starting at 1:30 p.m.

Sunday Sept. 18
Riverside Park - 49 King St W, 11 a.m. - 3 p.m.
Participants will run, walk or bike the 5 km route around Riverside Park to raise funds for the Terry Fox Foundation.
This year will mark 25 years since Kitefest first took flight at Dumfries Conservation Area.
The Dumfries Kitefest will be held from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday Sept. 18.
