Waterloo Region, Ontario – The Waterloo Regional Police Service (WRPS) invites citizens of Waterloo Region to join its Community Education and Engagement Night to learn more about Body-Worn and In-Car Video.

Starting in June 2021, WRPS will launch a pilot project that will see more than 100 body-worn and in-car video systems deployed with frontline officers.

During the Community Engagement Night, members of the public will learn how WRPS plans to utilize the technology, including when officers are recording, when they will not be, and citizens’ rights regarding consent. The discussion will focus on our commitments to transparency and accountability.

You can join us for the discussion on May 31, 2021, from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m., by watching live on our Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, or YouTube pages.

There is no registration required.
