YWCA Cambridge Women of Distinction Awards will be handed out June 14.

Nominations for four Women of Distinction Awards and three special category awards handed out by the YWCA Cambridge will close on March 31.

A woman of distinction is defined as someone who has made a difference in the community by showing a vision, creativity and initiative.

Individuals could be role models for others, broken barriers, made an impact in their chosen field, assisted others in their achievements, encouraged other women to take part in shaping their own lives or shown an innovative approach to challenges facing women, girls and gender diverse people.

The three special award categories are the Young Trailblazer Award (25 and under), the Lifetime Achievement Award (55 plus) and the President’s Award given to the person who works tireless to uplift and empower others and build a stronger, better Cambridge.

The Women of Distinction Awards Gala will take place on June 14 at Langdon Hall. Tickets will go on sale in April.
