APRIL 22, 1934 – APRIL 15, 2024

With heavy hearts we announce Louis’ passing on Monday, April 15th, 2024 at Cambridge Memorial Hospital one week short and of his 90th birthday. He has now gracefully joined his loving wife Ann in God’s arms.

Predeceased by his beloved and devoted wife Ann (2021) of 65 wonderful years. Loving father to Louis (Anne Marie), Robert (Sherry) and Dave (Deborah). Proud Grandpa to Nicholas, Jocelyn, Amanda (Adrian), Bradley (Brooke), Emily, Ethan and Great-Grandpa to Aubree and Calleigh. Will forever remain in the hearts of Carolyn, Paul and Jordan Vasco as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Predeceased by his parents Mary and Joseph , brother Joseph, brother-in-laws Don, Bill and Fred and sister-in-laws Margaret, Betty, Mary and Naeda.

Louis had a love of hockey and played for the Galt Blackhawks Jr. team alongside Bobby Hull. This love carried over to his unwavering support of his boys and grandchildren in their sports and other activities. As someone deeply spiritual and devoted, his relationship with God was incredibly important and brought him great comfort; he would be grateful for continued prayers. More than anything, family meant everything to Louis, and he cherished the time spent with his loved ones.

Visitation will be held at Coutts Funeral Home, 96 St Andrews Street, Cambridge on Friday, April 19th from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with vigil prayers at 8:30 p.m. and Saturday, April 20th from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. The Funeral Mass will take place at St. Clement’s Roman Catholic Church, 745 Duke Street, Cambridge on Saturday, April 20th at 11:00 a.m. with interment to follow at Parklawn Cemetery. A reception will follow back at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes you to express sympathy through prayers or donations made in Louis’ memory to St. Clement Parish.

A special thank you to all our friends and family who have kept us in your thoughts and prayers, to Father Bradley, and to the wonderful staff at Cambridge Memorial Hospital and Hilltop Manor, Cambridge.

“Eternal rest unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual Light shine upon him. May his Soul, through the mercy of God, Rest in Peace.”
