Robert Alkin Rann, known as Bob, passed away on April 22, 2024, in his 91st year, at Cambridge Memorial Hospital. Beloved husband of Margaret “Peggy” (nee Walters) of 62 wonderful years. Loving father to: Peter (Rhonda), Mary Beth, Jay, Meg Parsons (Jason), and Sarah. Proud grandfather to Jessica (Justin and his son Spencer), Amanda (John), Jacklyn, as well as a great-grandfather to Xavier, Zayden, and Maverick and dear brother to Jane Hall of Brussels, ON. Bob is predeceased by his parents: David and Aletha, his brother William, sister-in-law Sharon Walters and brother-in-law Jack Hall. Bob will be lovingly remembered by his nieces, nephews, and many good friends.

Bob was born in Brussels, Ontario, and moved to Galt when he started his 44-year career as a draftsman at Babcock and Wilcox. He was a lifetime member of Galt Curling Club, member of the Lions Club, and parishioner of St. Ambrose Church. He enjoyed woodworking, traveling the globe, gardening, and cheering for his favourite Toronto sports teams. Bob was known for his charitable work and his unwavering love and loyalty as a husband and father. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.

Relatives and friends will be received on Sunday, April 28, 2024, from 1:00pm-3:00pm and 6:00pm-8:00pm at T. Little Funeral Home, 223 Main Street, Cambridge (519-623-1290). A Funeral Mass will be held the following day, on Monday, April 29, 2024, at 11:00am at St. Ambrose Church, 210 South Street, Cambridge. Bob will be laid to rest at Mount View Cemetery, Cambridge. Friends and family are invited back to T. Little Funeral Home for a time of fellowship and refreshment following the service.
