FRANKLAND, Sandra "Sandi" Elaine (nee Lawyer); Passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of her family and friends on Saturday March 9th 2024, at Lanark Heights, Kitchener at the age of 69.
Beloved wife and best friend of Robert "Bob" Frankland for 45 years. Loving mother of Sarah (Matthew) Frankland, and Paul (Andrea) Frankland. Treasured grandma of Tobias. Sandra will be lovingly missed by her many cousins. Predeceased by her parents Joe and Edna Lawyer, and her aunts Mary McAnich and Eva Comartin.
Sandra spent most of her life in Galt/Cambridge, working for many years as a Library Clerk in Waterloo Region District School Board. As well, was employed as an auto underwriter for the Co-operators Insurance and Dumfries Insurance locally. She enjoyed time spent crocheting afghans, knitting, and various crafts in her spare time. Sandra was a proud member of her Journey Womyn Group for many years, and a longtime member of St. John's On The Hill, First United Church, and Cedar Hill United Churches in Cambridge. She was also a lifetime member of the UCW.
A visitation for Sandra will be held Saturday, March 23rd, 2024 from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. at Cedar Hill United Church, 241 Cedar Street, Cambridge. A Celebration of Sandra’s life will be held in the church following visitation at 2:00 p.m. Donations in memory of Sandra made to the MS Society of Canada, Cedar Hill United Church, or Dying with Dignity Canada would be gratefully appreciated by the family.
