Donald Jowett passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 4, 2022.
Donald was a stoic, independent, and strong man who was always helping others. He was a member of the Army & Navy Club, the Port Credit Legion, and he volunteered for decades at the Veteran’s Club. Donald enjoyed gardening, and worked as a professional gardener during his years in England. He also loved reading books, golfing, and playing darts and cards.
Donald was loved dearly by his family and will be deeply missed. He is survived by his daughters Ann (Steve), and Lynn (Wes), grandsons Craig, Darren, and Neil, granddaughters Breann, and Jennifer, great-grandchildren Noah and Samantha, his wife of 27 years Irene, and his chosen daughter Luanne. Donald was predeceased by his first wife Margaret.
Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held at the Army, Navy, and Air Force Unit 262 (765 Third St, Mississauga, ON) at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
