It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce Chester's passing on Sunday, February 20, 2022 at St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener at the age of 72.
Beloved husband to Annie (nee Sopaz) MacDonald of 48 wonderful years. Loving father to Elliott (Michelle) MacDonald and Matt MacDonald (Lisa Leandre). Proud Grandfather to Karaleena, Nathan, Jase and Kian MacDonald. Dear brother to Jane (Jim) Stewart. Chester will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law and friends.
In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life gathering will take place on Monday, February 28, 2022 from 11 am - 2 pm at Coutts Funeral Home, 96 St. Andrews Street, Cambridge. There is no signup required, however anyone in attendance must provide photo ID and proof of full vaccination (two doses) upon arrival. Chester will be laid to rest at Mount View Cemetery following the celebration of life.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Chester's memory may be made to the W. Ross Macdonald School for the Blind and would be greatly appreciated.
A very special thank you to the nursing staff of St. Mary's Hospital - 7th floor for the exceptional care that Chester received through his final days.
