Raymond Llewellyn Mercer passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at the age of 59, after a long battle with cancer.
Ray had a passion for music and he loved the outdoors. He was also an active member of Alcoholics Anonymous and a lifetime supporter of the Detroit Red Wings. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his mother Shirley Mercer, sisters Lorraine Kitchen (Gerald), Debbie Holland (Tom), and Robin Mercer (Ira), and his nieces and nephews Connie Barrett, Corey Kitchen, Darren Kitchen, Kyle Holland, Jessica Holland, Sydney Kearns, and Evan Kearns. Ray was predeceased by his father Robert Mercer. Cremation has taken place and a private service will be held by the family. Interment at Parklawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Lisaard and Innisfree House would be appreciated.
