NOVEMBER 24, 1947 – FEBRUARY 16, 2024
It is with great sadness that our family announce that Diane Murphy-Newstead passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at Cambridge Memorial Hospital on Friday February 16th, 2024 in her 78th year.
Pre-deceased by husbands Martin Murphy and Ronald Newstead, sisters Debbie Hillier and Donna Hebert. Loving mother of Sherry Francisco (Arnie), Lynn Halleran (John) and Brenda Mason (John). Treausred grandmother of Amy Murphy (Josh), Andrew Balkema, Joey Halleran (Sara), Jessica Aguiar (Chris), Stephanie Francisco (Cody) and Martin Peterman (Lauren). Cherished Great Grandmother to Charolette, Landon, Jacob, Avery, Sophia, Madeline, Ellie, Noah, Adeline and Francis. Diane will be lovingly remembered by her nieces, nephews and extended Windsor family.
Diane worked at Allen Bradley for over 35 years and still talked about the types of jobs she did there and the friendships she developed during her time there. Diane raised her family in Cambridge and then spent the next 24 years as a resident of her beloved Turkey Point.
Friends and family will be received on Tuesday, February 20th, 2024 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Coutts Funeral Home, 96 St. Andrews Street, Cambridge (519-621-1650). A Funeral Mass will be held the following day, on Wednesday, February 21st, 2024 at 10 a.m. at St. Ambrose Parish, 210 South Street, Cambridge. Interment to follow at Mount View Cemetery, Cambridge.
The family would like to thank the Nurses and Doctors at Cambridge Memorial Hospital for the care they provided Diane.
