MARCH 27, 1943 – APRIL 27, 2023

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Lena Nagel on Thursday, April 27, 2023 at the age of 80. Lena passed away peacefully at the Cambridge Memorial Hospital surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Rotterdam, Netherlands Lena (nee: Keulen) came to Canada at age 6 with her parents Rein and Aafje Keulen and sister Hennie. She was married to the love of her life, Arthur, for 58 wonderful years and raised their family of three sons in Cambridge.

Lena spent her career as a Legal Secretary and worked at various Law firms in the Cambridge and K-W area. Her favorite people were her family. Some years ago, Lena and Art purchased acreage in Puslinch Township and were fortunate to have all three of their boys build their family homes on the property as well. Many good times were spent going back and forth from house to house through the back trails having family barbeques, parties and helping each other out with whatever project was on the go at the time. Lena was a devoted Mother and Grandmother who established a family tree with roots that run deep and strong. She will be greatly missed.

Lena leaves behind her children Allen (Cristina), Jason (Cassandra), Daughter-in-Law Sue Nagel. She is predeceased by her husband Arthur (2021) and her son, Greg (2020). Also missing Lena today are her cherished Grandchildren Jessica, Danielle, Ryan, Emily, Tristan and Catrina. Lena is survived by her sister Hennie Tomlin (David).

The family would like to acknowledge the wonderful and sympathetic support that was given by the Nurses and Doctors at the Cambridge Memorial Hospital. Special thanks to Dr. Sehl.

Visitation will be held at Coutts Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 96 St. Andrews St, Cambridge on Wednesday, May 3rd from 6 – 9 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Sunday, May 7th at 11 a.m. with a reception to follow back at the family’s residence. Cremation will take place at a later date.

As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. Friends and relatives are invited to sign Lena’s online book of condolences at www.couttsfuneralhome.com.
