Shirley Ottman (nee Abernethy), age 95, of Cambridge, Ontario passed away on Thursday April 4, 2024. Predeceased by her parents Russell Abernethy (1952), Helen Abernethy (nee Trull) (1988), husband Roy (2003), son Rodney (2004), sister Gloria Hall (2010), brother-in-law Don Hall (2009) and sister-in-law Barbara Abernethy (1998). Survived by her brother Russell Abernethy (Linda) and many nieces and nephews.
Shirley will be remembered for her lively and spirited nature as well as her love of jazz music and treats from Reid’s Chocolates.
The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the caregivers at Queen’s Square Retirement Home, Cambridge Memorial Hospital and Lisaard House Hospice for the kindness and support shown to Shirley.
As an expression of sympathy, donations to Lisaard & Innisfree Hospice would be greatly appreciated.
