SMITH. David; Born 1939 in Oldham, England. Died on Monday, July 18, 2022 surrounded by love at his home in Burlington.
Beloved husband and best friend of Jane (nee Ross), father to Mark (Penny), Andrew and Naomi (the late Mark), remembered lovingly by his grandchildren Amanda Saunders (Brandon), Jacob Saunders, Rachael Goc (Matej), Veronica Best (Clayton), Brianna, Nicholas, Sarah, Nathaniel and Anthony Smith, their mother Theresia, and great grandchildren Theodore and Cecilia Goc. Brother of Jill (predeceased), Susan, Jack and Janet all of North Wales and brother-in-law to Donald (Phyllis), Alan (the late Patricia) and Andy (Melinda).
Lovingly remembered by multiple nieces and nephews. David very much enjoyed the world travel, facilitated by a long career as a Bank Executive, which led him to live and work in four countries on three continents. He particularly enjoyed sports, as a player in his youth and a spectator in later years.
Relatives and friends are invited to share memories of David along with his family at the T. Little Funeral Home, 223 Main Street, Cambridge, 226-895-2334 on Thursday, July 28 from 10:00 to 11:00 am. A service to celebrate David's life will be in the funeral home chapel at 11:00 am, followed by refreshments at the Funeral Home.
