APRIL 6, 1929 – DECEMBER 5, 2022
Michael was a man who took responsibility very seriously. In 1961 he found himself a single parent, with 3 daughters and a son ranging in age from 1-7. He resisted efforts to separate us to relatives or other care options. We had music, dance, sports, beach days, a dog and even occasional family vacation trips.
Michael was one of 10 siblings born in Glace Bay, Nova Scotia to Mary and Edward and the last to pass away. He lived a blessed and healthy life until August of this year – his first major illness.
Left to mourn are his children Deborah (Ross) Brethauer, Lynn Coleman, Michael Walsh Jr, Roxanne (Kevin) Pendergast; grandchildren Jenifer Figueredo, Julie (Sean) Moore, Stephanie (Dan) Pendergast, Kaitlyn Pendergast and three great-grandchildren.
Cremation has taken place and ashes will be interred in the family plot in Glace Bay, Nova Scotia at a later date.
Thanks to the Cambridge Memorial Hospital and Stirling Heights long term care for the exemplary care our father received.
