Waterloo Regional Police are investigating after a male and female were assaulted in Cambridge.
On Sept. 15, 2022, at approximately 7:10 a.m., police responded to a report of an assault in the area of Linden Drive and Preston Parkway.
One victim, a 41-year-old Cambridge male, sustained serious injuries and was transported to an out-of-region hospital by Region of Waterloo Paramedic Services.
A second victim, a 25-year-old Cambridge female, was treated at a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
Investigators believe this was a targeted incident.
The investigation is ongoing by members of our General Investigations Unit.
