Aerosol spray used in alleged assault Thursday at GCI

Waterloo regional police are seeking witnesses to an alleged assault that happened Thursday morning at Galt Collegiate Institute in Cambridge.

At approximately 9:35 a.m., police say a suspect approached three victims and sprayed them with a substance from an aerosol can.

The suspect then fled the area.

The three victims were treated for non-life-threatening injuries by Region of Waterloo Paramedic Services at the scene.

Police say they believe it to be a targeted incident and there is no concern for public safety.

The investigation is ongoing.
