Brampton driver lands stunt driving charge in Cambridge

A driver from Brampton was caught speeding on McQueen Shaver Boulevard on April 17.

Police charged driver from Brampton with stunt driving, speeding and careless driving last night on McQueen Shaver Boulevard.

The Waterloo Regional Police Service's traffic unit tweeted the traffic stop around 10 p.m. after catching the male driver speeding 156 km/hr in the posted 60 km/hr zone.

The "G2 license holder from Brampton had to find another way home tonight," the tweet reads.

The man's license was suspended and vehicle seized.

The fine for stunt driving alone is a minimum $2,000 plus a victim surcharge and comes with a 30 day license suspension and impounds vehicles for 14 day.
