Cambridge driver suffers serious injuries in Fife Road crash

Another driver was air lifted to trauma centre

A 34-year-old Cambridge resident was transported to hospital with serious injuries Friday morning following a collision west of Guelph.

Wellington OPP said on Dec. 2 at approximately 8 a.m., officers responded to a serious collision involving two motor vehicles on Fife Road at Township Road 1, Guelph/Eramosa Township.

Initial reports indicated that a black sport utility vehicle (SUV) and a white pickup truck had collided and the driver of the SUV had sustained serious injuries.

Emergency services responded and a 46-year-old driver from Breslau was air lifted to a trauma centre with serious injuries.

The other driver from Cambridge was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries. Traffic was delayed until approximately 10:45 a.m.
