Cambridge man charged in child porn investigation

Investigation began in July between Waterloo regional police Internet Child Exploitation Unit and Department of Homeland Security

Waterloo Regional Police Service's Cybercrime - Internet Child Exploitation Unit has arrested a 22-year-old Cambridge man in connection to an ongoing child pornography investigation.

In July the ICE Unit and the US Department of Homeland Security conducted a joint investigation involving the distribution of child pornography.

On Oct. 13, police arrested and charged the Cambridge man with the following:

  • Making available child pornography (three counts)
  • Possession of child pornography (four counts)

The man was held in police custody for a bail hearing.

The Waterloo Regional Police Service is a member of the Ontario Provincial Strategy to Protect Children from Sexual Abuse and Exploitation on the Internet.
