Cambridge man faces charge for uttering threats near a school

Police were called to Guelph Avenue school around 10 this morning

A 45-year-old Cambridge man is being held for a bail hearing after he was charged with uttering threats near a school on Guelph Avenue this morning.

Waterloo regional police said they were called to the Hespeler school at around 10 a.m. for a report of an adult male uttering threats towards administration staff.

Through investigation, police located and arrested the suspect.

There were no reported physical injuries as a result of the incident, and there is no concern for public safety.
