Police learned of a possible impaired driver leaving the downtown area just after 2:30 a.m., a news release explains. The vehicle was stopped near Wellington Street West and Edinburgh Road South.

According to police, the driver had an odour of alcoholic beverage on his breath and was showing signs of impairment, but refused to provide a breath sample.
