Cambridge OPP nab 19-year-old driving nearly double the speed limit

Stunt driving charges come with a 30 day license suspension and two-week vehicle impound

A 19-year-old driver is facing a charge of stunt driving and careless driving after Cambridge OPP nabbed him going 192 km/h on Highway 8 in Kitchener on Tuesday.

The charges come with a 30 day license suspension and two-week vehicle impound.

Police released a tweet showing the speed and a quote from the teen driver.

"I didn't realize I was going that fast, can you just give me a warning please."

That stretch of Highway 8 features a 100 km/h speed limit.
