A 23-year-old Woodstock man is facing charges for careless driving and stunt driving after Cambridge OPP stopped his vehicle on Highway 401 near Hespeler Road on Wednesday.
In a tweet, Cambridge OPP said the man's Mustang passed their marked police cruiser in heavy rain travelling 170 km/hr.
After being stopped, the driver claimed he was "only going 150 km/hr."
The vehicle was impounded for two weeks and the driver received an immediate 30-day license suspension.
