Waterloo Regional Police are continuing to investigate a pedestrian-involved collision in Kitchener. 

On September 16, 2023, at approximately 11:50 a.m., emergency services responded to a collision in the parking lot of a business in the area of King Street East and Gateway Park Drive. 

A 94-year-old driver lost control of his vehicle in the parking lot and struck a pedestrian who was pushing a shopping cart.

The pedestrian, a 53-year-old Cambridge female, sustained an injury to her upper body and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

The driver, a 94-year-old male from Kitchener, was also transported to a local hospital for medical examination. 

The investigation is ongoing by members of WRPS’ Traffic Services Unit.
