Driver charged after pickup strikes four pedestrians in Cambridge

A 45-year-old man from Breslau is facing charges after a pickup truck collided with four pedestrians crossing at Pinebush Road and Conestoga Boulevard on Wednesday evening. 

Waterloo regional police and paramedics responded to the accident around 6:30 p.m.

Police said two of the people struck were transported to local hospital with minor, non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the GMC that hit them did not sustain any injuries and has been charged with fail to yield to pedestrian.

The intersection was closed for several hours for the police investigation.
