Driver uninjured after vehicle hits hydro pole, retaining wall

Waterloo Regional Police are investigating a single motor vehicle collision in Cambridge in the early hours of this morning from which the driver walked away uninjured.

Police say at around 3:20 a.m., emergency services responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Water Street North near Simcoe Street.

Police determined the vehicle was travelling on Water Street North when the driver lost control and the vehicle struck a hydro pole, and then a retaining wall. 

The driver, a 46-year-old woman from Oxford County, reported no physical injuries.

Water Street North was closed for several hours while hydro crews repaired the damage.

An investigation continues, police said in a news release.

They are asking anyone who witnessed the collision or has dashcam footage to call 519-570-9777, ext. 2299.
