Eight motorists charged with impaired-related offences over the weekend across region

A concerning story from police about what happened on our roads this weekend.

They say between June 5 to June 7, eight motorists were charged with impaired-related offences, including a 31-year-old Waterloo woman.

Late Sunday evening, police responded to the area of Trussler Road and Greenfield Road in North Dumfries Township after receiving a call about a possible impaired driver.

Upon arrival, officers found a vehicle in a ditch, as well as a female driver and a 10-year-old male passenger. No one was hurt.

A 31-year-old Waterloo woman was charged with operation while impaired by drug.
