Waterloo Regional Police are investigating a shooting in Cambridge.

On June 25, 2023, at approximately 4 a.m., police received a report of a shooting in the area of Lena Crescent and Franklin Boulevard.

Through investigation, police confirmed that shots were fired and that a residence and vehicle were damaged.

At this time, police believe three or four males were involved in the shooting. They were described as wearing dark clothing and masks. One of the males was carrying a white bag.

The involved males fled the area on foot.

No physical injuries were reported as a result of this incident, and investigators believe it to have been targeted.

There will be an increased police presence in the area throughout the day as detectives conduct a canvass.

The investigation is ongoing by members of the Waterloo Regional Police Service's General Investigations Unit.
