Man seriously injured in Cambridge home invasion

Waterloo Regional Police continue to investigate a home invasion in Cambridge.

On Tuesday, Sept. 28, 2021, at approximately 1:45 a.m., three males armed with a machete, a handgun, and a hatchet forced entry into a residence on Albert Street in Cambridge. A male inside the residence was assaulted and sustained serious, but non-life-threatening injuries as a result of the incident.

Police believe this to be a targeted incident.

The suspects were last seen fleeing south on Highway 24 in a black Dodge Journey. Anyone who witnessed the incident or has video surveillance in the area is asked to contact police at 519-570-9777 extension 8418 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
