Motorcyclist, 18, airlifted to hospital after Hespeler Rd. crash

Police say an 18-year-old motorcyclist was transported to hospital by air ambulance Saturday after a collision with another vehicle in Cambridge.

Waterloo Regional Police say the crash took place at around 1 p.m.

That's when emergency crews responded to reports of a crash involving an SUV and a motorcycle on Hespeler Road.

The motorcycle driver, an 18-year-old Cambridge male, was transported by Ornge Air to an out-of-region hospital with injuries, police said in a news release.

The SUV driver, a 65-year-old female, was not physically injured, police said.

An investigation by the police traffic services unit is ongoing, police said.
