Police arrest male youths in two convenience store robberies

The two suspects are accused of robbing the same convenience store in Cambridge on March 13 and April 1, brandishing knives, police say

The Waterloo Regional Police Service's Robbery Unit has arrested two Cambridge male youths who allegedly robbed the same convenience store in Cambridge on March 13 and April 1, brandishing knives.

In each case, the suspects stole cash and merchandise and fled the area on foot, police said in a news release. 

One male was arrested on April 17, and the other on April 18, according to police. 

Both youths were charged with two counts of robbery with a weapon and disguise with intent. 

They were held in police custody for a bail hearing, police say.
