Waterloo Regional Police investigate disturbance with possible firearm

The Waterloo Regional Police are investigating a disturbance with a possible firearm that occurred on May 20 around 10 p.m. on Beechwood Road.

Police say several individuals reported they were approached by two unknown men. Their engagement led to a verbal argument, and the two males allegedly threw rocks at the group.

One of the suspects pointed to his hip, indicating that he had a firearm, and threatened the group. However, no firearm was seen, police say. 

The group then fled the area and called the police.

Both male suspects were described as white, with slim builds and in their 40s. 

The investigation is ongoing.
