Police investigating robbery, kidnapping of Cambridge senior (update)

Investigators are looking to identify and speak with this individual in connection to this incident

Waterloo Regional Police have released photos of someone they'd like to speak with in relation to their investigation of a robbery in a department store parking lot on Pinebush Road.

Police are also asking for dash camera footage from the area of Hespeler Road at Pinebush and Holiday Inn Drive near Groh Avenue from around 2:20 p.m. on Monday, June 26.

At around that time, an elderly male was approached by two unknown suspects demanding cash.

The victim was blindfolded and guided into the suspects' car before being driven to Holiday Inn Drive where they demanded he attend a bank machine and withdraw money.

The suspects then left the victim in the parking lot and fled in the vehicle.

The first suspect was described as a "brown male," approximately 6 feet, 30 to 35 years, medium build, with a beard and wearing a black baseball cap.

The second suspect was described as a "brown female," approximately 50 years, dark shoulder length hair and a heavy build.

The vehicle was described as a black SUV.

No physical injuries were reported.
