Waterloo regional police have released surveillance video footage more than two weeks after a Cambridge cyclist was hit by a driver on July 4. 

The unknown driver of the suspect vehicle struck a cyclist before fleeing from the scene. 

On July 4, at approximately 3:10 p.m. police responded to a report of a hit-and-run collision in the area of Elgin Street North and Winter Avenue.

The cyclist, 26-year-old male, suffered minor injuries as a result of the collision.

The suspect vehicle is believed to be a light-coloured Nissan Altima, with the last numbers of the license plate being 692.

The investigation is ongoing and anyone who witnessed the incident or has dash-cam footage that captured the collision is asked to call police at 519-570-9777.
