A major closure in the Preston area of Cambridge early Thursday morning after a crash in the Shantz Hill area.
Shantz Hill Road was closed in both directions between Preston Parkway and Fountain St South as hydro crews continued repairs.
Police say the crash happened around 12:30 a.m. when a Dodge Journey was travelling southbound on Shantz Hill, left the roadway, crashed into a hydro pole, and spun out.
The vehicle was towed away shortly after 5 a.m. Thursday.
Regional Police say the man behind the wheel of the vehicle fled the scene and was last seen walking on Preston Parkway.

Power is out in that stretch, with an estimated restoration time of 10:15 a.m.
GrandBridge Energy is reporting 187 customers are in the dark.
