Truck leaves roadway, strikes residence: Waterloo Regional Police

Driver was transported to hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries

On Monday, June 14, 2021, at approximately 1:45 p.m., Waterloo Regional Police responded to the area of Barrie Lane and Churchill Drive in Cambridge for a single motor vehicle collision.

A blue Dodge pickup truck was traveling north on Barrie Lane, when it crossed over Churchill Drive, left the roadway, and struck a residence. 

The loan male driver a 47-year-old Cambridge male was transported to an out-of-region hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

The collision caused extensive damage to the residence. Members of the residence did not sustain any physical injuries.

Members of the Waterloo Regional Police Service's South Division Patrol and the Traffic Services Unit attended to investigate. 

Churchill Drive was closed until 6:00 p.m. while the scene was examined and the vehicle removed from the residential property. 

The investigation remains ongoing at this time and charges are pending. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact police at 519-570-9777.
